At last week's rehearsal Steve Richardson our newest member was presented with the chorus award for winning the Vocal Ensemble class at Harrogate Music Festival from musical director Andy Salter , his first performance in public with Spirit of Harmony. Well done Steve !

We had another enjoyable evening competing at this year's Harrogate Music Festival winning the Vocal Ensemble class and finishing in the top three positions in the Barbershop Chorus class - both with Commended classifications.

After our last rehearsal of 2024 we had fun at the Bosuns Brewery, Wetherby, open-mic session singing our Xmas songs including Drivin Home for Christmas and Little Saint Nick. Now who is that character on the rhs ? Ho Ho Ho !
- Spirit quartet compete in Leicester

Sharquar, a very recently formed quartet from our club, had a great time competing in the BABS national senior's prelims. competition in Leicester last weekend - it was their first public outing and although they just missed going through to the semi-finals at the annual convention next year in Bournemouth, they were very pleased with their performance ! The photo shows Steve Allen (tenor), Dean Whitehouse (lead), Colin Milner (bass) and Phil Bunting (baritone). It was Phil's first experience singing in quartet in that kind of environment - so a big shout- out for him !
