We're always looking for new, dedicated singers to join us. It doesn't matter whether you're an experienced musician or complete beginner - we believe everyone has the potential to make great music.
We'd love to hear from you.

Do I need Previous singing/musical experience?
No - we're open to new recruits from all walks of life, no matter what their experience level. If you can hold a tune, that's good enough for us!
Do I need to be a music reader?
Absolutely not - a number of our members don't read music. We have audio aids which help you to learn songs, and the leadership team assumes no musical knowledge.
Will I be good enough?
Great question! Strangely, despite barbershop being one of the most impressive forms of performance, it is also one of the most accessible. Our education and coaching is light on jargon, and you'll be given all the support you need.
If you think you can't sing, come anyway! You may just be trying to sing in the wrong range for your voice type - a lot of our basses wouldn't go near a melody line!
Is there an audition?
There is a short audition process, but we try to make it as comfortable as possible. It's mostly there to introduce you to what we do, and you have access to the full support of the leadership team throughout the joining process.
How much does it cost?
There's a (small) monthly subscription fee, which varies depending on your circumstances. The subscription covers things like hiring our rehearsal venue, as well as buying sheet music and copyright clearance for songs. You'll only pay the subscription once you've passed your audition.
We also attend 1-2 conventions each year, and you'll need to pay for accommodation and registration for those. On average, singing barbershop is cheaper than playing golf.
If you're a student/young adult, we have a pretty hefty discount on our subscription fees, and convention registrations are cheaper for under-26s.
What's the Time commitment?
We expect you to come to as many rehearsals as you can, and learn the songs to the best of your ability. There's a minimum attendance requirement to sing in competition, but we are open to giving concessions in exceptional circumstances. However, most members are expected to rehearse with us pretty much every week.
There's support available if you ever feel like you're struggling with the time commitment, so if this is a concern for you, come and audition anyway!
