Christmas Show with the White Rosettes & Guests

The White Rosettes and Spirit of Harmony return to Ashville College for another joint Christmas show!

The White Rosettes, an all-female barbershop chorus based in Leeds, are the most successful barbershop group in Britain, with an unprecendeted 15 National Gold Medals and 2 European Championships to their name. In 2016 they reached the final round of the prestigious Choir of the Year competition.

Spirit of Harmony from York is a top-flight male barbershop chorus with over 50 members. They have placed in the top 6 UK choruses every year since 2006.

Both choruses are directed by Sally McLean - a multi-medal winning director with 30 years of barbershop experience. She has coached some of the most successful barbershop groups in the UK and around Europe.

Joining us for the concert will be Monkey Magic - the 2008 British Male Quartet Champions. Monkey Magic was the first 'young' quartet to win the national championship, and they went on to perform at many prestigious venues including the Royal Albert Hall. They even spent some time recording a Christmas album for Sony Music under a different name: the Great British Barbershop Boys.

The show also features 4 On Demand - a multi-award-winning in-house Spirit of Harmony quartet who in 2016 won the National Youth Quartet contest
